We are surrounded by the Chattahoochee National Forest. The Chattahoochee represents the finest outdoor recreation opporutnities and natural resources north Georgia has to offer. You will find it fascinating to explore the rich history and culture of these lands using our cabin rentals. At Firewire Ziplines, located on Highway 515, you will be launched through a tree-top tunneland find yourself flying over rolling pastures with a panoramic view of the mountains. Firewire also operates the Blue Ridge Canopy Adventure, Blue Ridge's mountain top canopy experience. The Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest is a great places to find troutt fishing, with the many lakes and rivers that are availiable. See a map of Fannin County trout streams. Near Blue Ridge, Georgia, Fightingtown Creek, flows out of the Cohutta Wilderness Area. The stream can be waded, and a lot of it is wide enough to fly fish. Brown and rainbow trout are numerous here. Further west, near Ellijay, the Cartecay River is very popular for fishermen. It is stocked with rainbow trout among many other native species. Blue Ridge is the Trout Fishing Capital of Georgia.
